VALERI CHEKHERIA

Valeri has emerged as a key business leader in the region through his innovative approach to implementing modern business values to the Georgian community. He is a founder and partner at Hospitality Projects – a consulting company providing services in hospitality industry.

 Throughout the past decade, he has served as the CEO of Adjara Group. Under his leadership the company has built a diverse portfolio of internationally renowned hotels and trend-setting new entrepreneurial projects including a large-scale agricultural and farming development initiative in Eastern region of Georgia. It is notable that he actively led the company’s CSR efforts and contributed to the reinforcement of the SDGs.

 Valeri is a dedicated philanthropist involved in several charitable causesHe has served as the Chairman of the Board of the Global Compact Network Georgia and is a board-member of the McLain Association Children.

 Prior to joining the team of Adjara Group in 2011 he served as the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Economic Development and the Minister of Finance. In 2021, he has been appointed as the Advisor to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, in effort to strengthen the tourism industry in the country.

 Valeri graduated from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs, where he completed a Masters of Public Administration (MPA). As a recognition of his achievements Valeri was nominated in 2018 by the World Economic Forum as a member of the Young Global Leaders’ program along with 100 of the world’s most promising, business leaders, public servants, technologists, social entrepreneurs and artists.
