Vera Kobalia is former Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. In 2019, Ms. Kobalia was recognized as one of Business in Vancouver’s (Canada) Forty Under 40 businesspersons. She is currently a Director at Sandstorm Gold and an Economic Development Advisory Committee Member for the City of New Westminster.
Previously, she was an International Doing Business Advisor for the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Economic Governance in Jakarta, Indonesia and also held the role of Deputy Chair of the Board for the Astana Expo 2017 National Company in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Ms. Kobalia is an AsiaGlobal Fellow at the University of Hong Kong and a member of the People’s Panel at the Centre for Public Impact in London, UK. She is a member of the Global Council on Development Finance at the World Economic Forum, where she was named as a Young Global Leader in 2012.
